This slide presentation provides a nonbiased review of the aspects companies are currently looking for in a data visualization tool. The major needs are better Data Management and Visualizations for KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).

For me the biggest finding of this whole report is the variety of interest in data visualization. Industries from healthcare to non-profits to manufacturing are all interested in better visualization. The size of the company doesn’t seem to matter either. Companies big and small are all interested. Also, technical and nontechnical people are seeing the need for improved data visualization.

What does this all mean? It is a great time to be a data scientist!

If you or your company are looking for a new data visualization tool, this slide deck and report is definitely worth a glance.
