I am currently taking the Sabermetrics 101 class. I like it so far. I hoping to learn about the R language from taking the class. I think next week we will start learning R.

      Dave,
Thanks for the update. Have you ever taken a Coursera class? How do the 2 environments compare?

      Thanks,
      Ryan

I have taken several Coursera classes. The format between EdX and Coursera is similar but I think I like Edx a little better.
With Edx, each week is called a module and each module is broken into several small parts. Each of these parts you alternate between a lecture and then a small number of questions about that lecture. There might be 4 lectures and 4 questions sets per part and maybe 6 parts per lecture.
In coursera, you watch several videos in one week and then take one quiz that ask questions that come from all the lectures. With EdX, if you are asked a question you do know the answer, you just have to watch the last video you just watched. No hunting around like you do in Coursera.

Thanks for the info. I have yet to take a class via EdX, and I have been wondering about the platform.
